Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She currently holds the position of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the owner of the National Basketball Association. Buss comes from California was born into an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who went on to own the Lakers along with various other sports organizations. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened when her parents separated in the year 1972. In the year 19 she was appointed the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later, she established the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She first served as vice president of Lakers before taking on the role of President of the Great Western Forum. Buss along with her five brothers and sisters and their father who was the owner of the Lakers and controlled them until the time of his death in 2013, inherited this ownership by way of the trust. Each of them were entitled to equally the right to vote. Buss was elected in 2013 to take over the presidency for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also a co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based at Los Angeles.
