Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over 20 years. Her current position is that as president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss is a native of California, grew up with an affluent background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon and then later owned the Lakers. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 and she started to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. As she turned 19 old, she joined the family business as the director of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She first served as vice-president for the Lakers before taking on the position of president of the Great Western Forum. Buss along with her five sisters inherited the Lakers control following the death of Buss' father in 2013. Each sister had equal rights. she assumed the duties as president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with headquarters within Los Angeles.
