Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on the 9th of August, 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel superstar Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. Whitney's mother and her began singing professionally at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark at the age of fifteen years old. They sang the backing vocals for Chaka Khans 1978 track Im Every Woman. In 1981, she briefly did a stint as a fashion model and also appeared on the Seventeen Cover. Also, she provided back vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls. She started as a featured performer for the New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal work attracted attention from major record label Arista where she signed up in 1983. Whitney Houston, her debut album, released in 1985 was the most-sold album by an unproven singer. The album All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one single. The album was released in 1987, and it sold over 25 million copies across the globe. She sold 44,000,000 copies. In the same year she gave birth to her daughter Bobbi Brown, she got married to Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. Her daily drug usage was well documented.
Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchorperson for the CNN reporter and political correspondent for CNN. She has also produced certain of the network's Sunday shows such for instance Evans & Novak' Late Edition as well as Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels in the past including NBC and CBS. Bash is the recipient of several awards and honours. Elle magazine once listed her on its Women in Washington Power List.
